Golden Chariot Train, one of the famous luxury trains of India is sought after by a large number of travelers from all over the world. Like north India and west India, the south India has lots of heritage attractions and this Train showcases the heritage cities of Karnataka state.

The major attractions of Golden Chariot train are the Hampi village and the three heritage sites of Hassan district. The ruins of Vijayanagar Empire of Hampi village still echo the glory and wealth of the Empire. Belur and Halebid are the heritage sites which house the temples of Hoysala architecture. Golden Chariot Train is named after the stone Chariot of Hampi village and the coaches of the train are named after the empires as well as empires of Karnataka. Each coach of the train reminds the royal glory of the southern empires. The coaches are named such as Hoysala, Kadamba, Ganga, Rashtrakuta, Chalukya, Bahamani, Adilshahi, Sangama, Shathavahana, Yadukula and Vijayanagara.
The interior of the train are influenced by the Mysore and Hoysala architecture. A wide range of onboard facilities are served, guests can experience a lavish journey aboard the train. From dining to recreation, all the facilities are world class.
