Golden Chariot Train is named after the stone Chariot of Hampi village and the coaches of the train are named after the empires as well as empires of Karnataka. Each coach of the train reminds the royal glory of the southern empires. The coaches are named such as Hoysala, Kadamba, Ganga, Rashtrakuta, Chalukya, Bahamani, Adilshahi, Sangama, Shathavahana, Yadukula and Vijayanagara.
The interior of the train are influenced by the Mysore and Hoysala architecture. A wide range of onboard facilities are served, guests can experience a lavish journey aboard the train. From dining to recreation, all the facilities are world class.
